Board and Executive Management Team
Chairman and Chief Executive
Robert is the Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Quob Park Estate; Robert also sits on the board as Chairman of Quob Park Solutions, Quob Park Telecoms, and as Chairman and Chief Executive of Quob Park Health.
Following a period as an independent management consultant for a number of multi-national companies (primarily in the legal, banking and insurance industries), Robert founded a consultancy company which specialised in the integration of various case management document management and workflow packages with customers’ line of business systems. After the sale of this company to a leading document management and workflow company in 1997, Robert left to form The Innovation Group Plc.
The Innovation Group was listed on the London Stock Exchange in June 2000 and in the 18 months following made 28 acquisitions across 11 countries. Robert oversaw the growth of The Innovation Group, as Chairman and Chief Executive, to over 2,000 staff and grew revenues to over £100 million per annum within a 3 year period. In February 2003, Robert changed role to Non Executive Vice Chairman and Robert left The Innovation Group in late 2003, to develop the business of Quindell. Under Robert’s stewardship, Quindell developed a disruptive but ethical business model to initially address the issues within the UK general insurance market, and latterly the global insurance industry. Within a 3 year period, Robert had overseen the growth of this business to over 3,500 staff and approaching £500 million revenues, ensuring it became a key technology provider to the global insurance industry and the UK’s largest claims professional services organisation.
The innovative business models and techniques, first developed by Robert at Quindell, are now used by most of the UK insurance industry and are recognised as the best practice approach to UK claims outsourcing in order to drive down the cost of claims.
Robert left the board of Quindell in late 2014, following a significant and prolonged shorting attack upon the company’s stock, as he felt that this was in the best interests of Quindell’s shareholders of which, at that time, he was still the largest. He continued to work with Quindell as an independent consultant, via Quob Park Estate, until March 2015. Shortly after this time, when all Robert’s restrictive covenants expired, he was able to turn his full attention to the development of further disruptive business models, to be used by Quob Park Estate, its investments and its customers.
This has enabled Robert to once again work to develop technology and positively influence the development of ethical business approaches to drive down industry costs, with a particular focus upon North American markets, and target the generation of significant investor returns.
