Last night, Quob Park played host to the launch of the Hampshire Fare annual fundraiser in support of the The Murray Parish Trust.
The fundraiser which will last throughout the year is a competition to guess the number of mirrors on the hare. During 2023, the hare will be transported throughout the county to different events to be seen in person. Even if you don’t see it up close, you can take a wild guess and enter online!
Our Founders, The Terry Family supported the event by providing the venue, food, and drinks for the evening. All made complete with a Sparkling Wine Fountain and sommeliers on hand to perform the sabrage of the bottles 🍾
It was a fabulous evening to launch such a fantastic fundraiser for our local community.
All entries require a minimum donation of £5.00 and will go into a draw at the end of the year to win the ultimate Hampshire Fare hamper filled with local produce.

The hare was part of the 2022 Hares of Hampshire art trail in Winchester and Southampton and was created by artist Sophie Handy, who introduces it with the following words:
“Inspired by the evocative story The Wishing Chair, this special hare seeks to remind us that wherever we are we can take ourselves on adventures everyday of our lives. With a leap of faith and an open imagination we can find magic all around us. Make a wish, sit with it quietly for a while and then from your heart let it go, watch it fly away. Keep your eyes and ears open, as one day, it will surely come and say hello. What will you find on the Wishing Hare?… “
