Street Food is now gourmet and hip. The Sussex scene is bursting with passionate creatives preparing incredible dishes of every imaginable quisine, and drinks using local, seasonal ingredients whilst serving them in style from converted vintage trucks or bespoke stalls.
It would only be fitting for Brighton Gin, Brighton’s newest and coolest distillers, to serve their hand-crafted gin, from our cool hand-crafted converted horse box bar. We absolutely love sourcing and selling drinks from local producers and Brighton Gin is one of the best. Every ingredient is as local and organic as possible. At Brighton Gin’s core is 100% organic British grain spirit.
Brighton Gin is not just “distilled beside the seaside”, its branding reflects the railings of the town’s famous pier. The bottles’ wax seals and labels are the same colour, Brighton Seafront Blue, very similar to our Land Rover Marine Blue. The stylish label was inspired by the old pier tickets.
Three Sussex Street Food vendors were announced as Grand Finalists in the Sussex Food & Drink Awards 2016. The strict judging process was led by Masterchef: The Professionals Winner Steven Edwards, with food journalist Andy Lynes, sponsors Food Rocks and Hepworths Brewery, and also supported by votes from the public.
“This is the first ever Sussex Street Food of the Year competition, which we created to celebrate our tenth birthday – but it has proved so popular with the public and our brilliant Sussex street food vendors that we will continue it as part of the annual awards next year.” Hilary Knight, co-director of Natural Partnerships CIC, organisers of the awards.
